Lemongrass is made up of two main compounds (citral and geranial) which are known to be great for releasing inflammation in the body. Lemon grass is also used for PMS symptoms, this oil helps relieve menstrual cramping and bloating. Ways to use lemongrass would be to add 2-3 drops of lemongrass vitality to your hot water or tea.
Ginger works wonders for your digestive health and soothing nausea during pregnancy or even after surgery. Ginger is also helpful with removing or minimizing pain for women during their menstrual cycle. This oil is also effective against oral infections like gingivitis. Even though you may not think to use ginger right away when you are not feeling well, it is beneficial and a healthy alternative to keep in mind.
Peppermint helps with digestive issues like indigestion, gas and bloating. Peppermint oil promotes and relaxes a healthy digestion system. Peppermint oil also contains antispasmodic properties which are known to help constipation by relaxing the muscles in the digestive tract. If you are suffering from constipation you may be interested in trying this massage: combine 2-3 drops of peppermint oil with 1 teaspoon of a carrier oil (coconut, grapeseed, avocado oil, etc.). Massage this mixture on your belly and inhale the aroma as well.
